Operating Statement for the The Performing Arts Association of Moorpark

The Performing Arts Association of Moorpark is a non-profit 501C3 organization that acts as a support group for the performing and visual arts in the community of Moorpark.

The Foundation provides the following:

  • Raises community awareness of the visual and performing arts.
  • Supports an array of affordable performance art and film entertainment events that reflect community interests and needs.
  • Notifies supporters and prior attendees of functions taking place by maintaining a distribution list.
  • Provides contributions of cash and in-kind support for advertising, marketing and public relations for community oriented productions.
  • Works with community arts organizations such as those based at Moorpark College, local public schools, and dance and chorale classes.

    The Foundation will also directly support special events and activities such as the successful Ghost Walk, organized for Halloween.

    The Foundation is organized as a corporation with a Board of Directors and four officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Board elects and supervises the officers and the committees. The officers are responsible for day-to-day operations of the Foundation. Committees are organized to support such functions as Membership, Publicity, Fall Brunch, and Youth Theater Workshop.


    The Performing Arts Association of Moorpark is an independent 501c3 organization.
